Introducing Royal Jelly

Busy persons can be referred to as busy bees because bees are very busy insects which gather pollens enable to produce royal jelly. This royal jelly came from the secretion of honey bees that feeds the entire bee colony, especially the queen bees. The produce came from worker bees’ glands called hypopharynx. The royal jelly is a white substance on bees head. It is composed of 67% water, 12% carbohydrates, 4% lipids and 13% protein and other nutritional components like b-complex, vitamin B5, B6 and C, fatty acids, mineral and enzymes which are all good for the body. These substances can be found in beauty products and food supplements.

Royal jelly’s components diverts when climate changes: carbohydrate level increase during rainy season while lipid contents diminish during hot season. Nevertheless, changes don’t affect its effectiveness. There are more and more products produced from royal jelly called Apitheraphy. The demand in apitheraphy products lead to emergence of bee farms to cultivate lots of royal jellies. In this bee farms there are artificial bee colony with movable frame hives where royal jelly is gathered from honeycomb or queen cells. Basically, royal jelly is collected from queens since they can store more jelly and repeat this process in 4 to 5 years. Unlike worker bees, they consume royal jelly to live since they’re lifespan is only one season. After 5-6 months, you can collect 500 g of royal jelly.
